Due to increased demand and a lack of recent rainfall, the Westford Water Department upgraded water restrictions to Stage II levels as of June 22.
Before the upgrade, outdoor watering restrictions limited watering to odd numbered homes on odd numbered days of the month only and even numbered homes until Oct. 1
Now, the odd/even restrictio
ns are still in place along with additional restrictions prohibiting outdoor watering between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Water usage deemed essential for business, agriculture or health purposes is not included in the restriction.
