Westford Family Celebrates Independence Day With First Baby Born at Emerson Hospital

Olivia Milania Manuilov was in a rush to celebrate Independence Day, so much of a rush she was the first Fourth of July baby born at Emerson Hospital this year.

Weighing in at 6 pounds, 1 ounce and measuring 19.5 inches long, Olivia came into the world at 10:01 a.m. on July 4 to Anastasiya and Anton Manuilov.

The Fourth of July birth wasn’t the first in their family, with another child in the family also sharing the birthday.

Between that and a rainbow Anastasiya saw a day earlier after the remnants of Hurricane Arthur swept by, Anton believed that their new daughter’s birthdate might just be fate.

“I said to Anastasiya on our way to the hospital, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if she was born on the 4th of July?’ It turned out it wasn’t funny – it was for real!” said Anton. “I will never miss my daughter’s birthday, it is very special having a Fourth of July baby.”

The baby was delivered by Dr. Avra Jordano-Alter.
