The following are highlights from the Westford Fire Department log from Sept. 15 to 22, 2014.
Sept. 17, 1:53 p.m. – The fire prevention unit went to Tenney Road for reports of blasting from a local resident.
However, by the time the unit got there, anyone who might have been blasting had left the scene. No evidence of blasting was found.
Sept. 18, 10:53 a.m. – A crew was dispatched to town hall for a smoky odor.
It turned out to be a fluorescent light fixture.
Sept. 18, 7:42 p.m. – Paramedics responded to a motor vehicle crash on 495 Northbound just north of Exit 32.
People involved in the crash were transported to Lowell General. However, additional details were not provided.
Sept. 21, 10:05 p.m. – An alarm at Boch Honda turned out to be a ground fault problem. Notifications were made.
Sept. 22, 4:05 a.m. – A baby was delivered at the central fire station on Main Street.
