Just Over One In Ten Westford Voters Head Out For Primary Day

Here are the quick unofficial vote tallies from Westford in the contested races during Tuesday’s primary.

Turnout in the Democratic Primary was 11.32% of registered Democrats and turnout for the Republicans was 5.47% of registered Republicans. Combined, there were 2,206 voters including unenrolled voters, putting the overall turnout at 11.6%.

Democratic Nomination – Governor

Attorney General Martha Coakley was the top vote getter with 647 votes, winning every precinct except Precinct #1, which was won by State Treasurer Steven Grossman (586 votes).

Don Berwick got 282 votes, and there were 4 write-ins.

Democratic Nomination – Attorney General

Maura Healey’s 991 votes more than doubled that of competitor Warren Tolman, who got 466.

There were 3 write-ins.

Democratic Nomination – Lieutenant Governor

Stephen Kerrigan received 678 votes, winning every precinct. He was followed by Leland Cheung (362) and Michael Lake (195).

Democratic Nomination – District Attorney

Incumbent Marian Ryan won each precinct, earning 829 votes, with Michael Sullivan getting 528 votes.

Republican Nomination – Governor

Charlie Baker easily defeated Mark Fisher, 529-139.
