The Westford Education Foundation will hold its 11th annual Walk For Education Sunday, October 26, 2014. The event – referred to as The Big Event For Young People – features a Halloween parade from the Westford Common to the Abbot School. Check-in on the Common begins at 12:30 p.m., and the parade will begin at 1:00 p.m. Cost to participate is $10 per walker, with a maximum of $30 per family. Children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by a paying adult. Participants will then enjoy snacks, drinks, and music at Abbot. Slices of pizza and raffle tickets will be available for purchase. A variety of local vendors will be on hand, and the kids can trick-or-treat in the cafeteria. The first 75 pre-registered children will receive free trick-or-treat bags. In the event of inclement weather, go directly to the Abbot School. Get your Halloween costumes ready and join us on Sunday, October 26. Go to http://wefweb.org/ and download the Walk For Education registration form.
