The officer and another officer searched the house, but nothing was found.

Oct. 12, 9:37 p.m. – While monitoring traffic on Groton Road, an officer did a random query on a grey Mazda sedan travelling westbound registered to an individual on Broadway Street in Lowell that had a “denied” license status.

The officer then pulled over the Mazda further down the road and requested the driver’s license and registration.

The driver provided registration, but no license. The officer asked for the license again, with the driver offering a license from Guatemala, saying he was told he could operate a motor vehicle with this license for three to six months.

The driver then said he lived at Broadway Street in Lowell and had been living there for approximately five years.

The officer replied that as an International citizen, he had a year to obtain a Massachusetts license before the Guatemalan license would be invalid within the U.S.

Then the officer advised that the license plate turned up as “denied” and asked if the driver lived anywhere else in the U.S. He said he did not. However, a check by dispatch to confirm the issue said that the license plate was denied due to an issue in September out of Illinois.

A female passenger in the car was asked if she had a valid driver’s license. She said she did, but could not provide a license. It was later discovered she only had a learner’s permit.

The man was issued a citation and the vehicle was towed.

Oct. 18, 10:26 p.m. – Jessica Longover, 23, of Longley Rd. in Shirley was arrested for an outstanding OUI bench warrant from the East Hampshire District Court.
