Craft Fair at Nashoba Tech This Weekend

From Nabnasset to Forge Village, here are your Five Things for Nov. 20 and beyond in Westford.

#1. Nashoba Valley Tech…. is holding their third annual Craft Fair on Saturday, Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Nashoba Tech Craft Fair#2. Babysitting Basics Ages 10 to 14  Learn child care, fun children’s activities, dealing with common problems and safety tips for all ages.  Saturday, Nov. 29, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., $45/$42 for residents. For more details call 978-692-5511 or visit www.roudenbush.org

#3. Westford’s Louisa Arnold… will perform in the Nutcracker at Manchester, NH’s Palace Theatre. More information is available in the Westford Eagle.

#4. Request from Westford Public Schools: If you know of any child attending public or private school, or who is homeless or has left school, and could benefit from a special education evaluation under Chapter 766 or educational services under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, please contact the Special Education Department in Westford at 978-692-5560 x2113.

#5. Family Adventures in Reading for Preteen at the J.V. Fletcher Library on Nov. 22 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  A FREE reading and art making adventure for preteens (ages 10-13) and parents/caregivers. Participants will talk about characters, plots, and ideas in books, create illustrational art, and explore public library riches using one pair of young adult novels as a touchstone and source of inspiration.  Healthy snacks provided.  Families who attend regularly will receive a canvas book bag and a free book. Grant-funded by MassHumanities. Register in the Youth Services department.
