Lowell General Hospital has announced that it has been recognized as a 2013 Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by the Joint Commission.
The hospital, which has a facility on Littleton Road as part of the Cornerstone Square development, is one of 1,224 hospitals in the U.S. to achieve the distinction.

Massachusetts held 24 of the 1,224 to receive the distinction.
The Nashua, New Hampshire-based St. Joseph Hospital was the closest facility to Westford outside of LGH to receive the distinction.
