The funding will help support programs offered in collaboration with Lowell General Hospital as well as Let’s Move events and other initiatives.

“This is a great opportunity to work together with the Town of Westford to extend health programs into the community,” says Norm Deschene, Chief Executive Officer of Circle Health and Chief Executive Office of Lowell General Hospital. “These programs will have a powerful and lasting impact on the health and well-being of both residents and town employees, and we hope these initiatives could provide a valuable model for similar future programs and initiatives.”

Westford Town Health Director Sandy Collins accepted the donation at the meeting and noted that without the funding, her staff could not provide the same level of service to vulnerable and needy residents in town.

“We are extremely grateful for the generous donation from Circle Health,” said Collins. “I look forward to our collaboration with Circle Health and Lowell General, and to implementing many of the services we have planned!”
