Lunch and Learn, ‘Daylight Savings and Sundowning,’ at Bridges by EPOCH at Westford (Oct. 6)
WESTFORD—Bridges by EPOCH at Westford will host the lunch and learn, “Daylight Savings and Sundowning,” on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at noon. Sundowning is a dementia-related symptom that refers to increased agitation that begins in the late afternoon and builds throughout the evening—a symptom that can become worse during Daylight Savings Time when there are fewer daylight hours. During this Lunch and Learn, learn helpful tips on reducing incidents of sundowning during this time of the year.

WESTFORD—Bridges by EPOCH at Westford will host a support group for dementia caregivers on Monday, Oct. 26 at 4:30 p.m. A memory impairment specialist will lead the discussion on the challenges of caring for someone with memory impairment. Bring your loved one to enjoy a delicious dinner in our homelike neighborhood with our caring staff while you dine with our support group and share caregiving stories with those who are with you on a similar journey. Our members are also terrific sources of tried-and-true caregiving tips. Plus, enjoy a special viewing of a presentation by Alzheimer’s expert Teepa Snow.
