Last week the Commonwealth released unemployment numbers for all of Massachusetts’ 351 municipalities, and the news had a very familiar tone for Westford.
Once again, Westford’s unemployment rate remained steady at 3.6 percent, as it did in July as well as in August and September.
The report was a slight year-over-year improvement from the 3.9 percent figure in October 2014.
Among Westford’s neighbors, Acton reported 3.3 percent, Littleton reported 3.4, Groton reported 3.5, Carlisle reported 3.8, and Tyngsborough as well as Chelmsford reported 4.0.
The statewide average was 5.0 percent.
Elsewhere in the state, Provincetown reported the highest unemployment rate at 11.8 percent while Egremont was at 2.4.
