Nashoba Valley Technical High School’s in-school hair
salon, Cosmo Cuts, will host a St. Baldrick’s Foundation “Brave the Shave” head-shaving event on Thursday, April 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a national volunteer organizationthe goal of which is raising money for research into finding cures for childhood cancer.

Nashoba Tech’s event will be one of nearly 12,000 held this year. In 2015, St. Baldrick’s raised just under $37 million for research, and
this year, nearly $15 million has already been raised.

At a “Brave the Shave” event, people volunteer to have their heads shaved, and get sponsors to donate money.

The St. Baldrick’s event at Nashoba Tech is the brainchild of Natasha Suero of Pepperell, a senior
in the Cosmetology program at Nashoba Tech.

To become a “shavee,” as the foundation calls them, at Nashoba Tech’s event, call 978-692-4711, ext. 6142.
Nashoba Tech is at 100 Littleton Road (Route 110), in Westford.
