You are invited to an event sponsored by local Westford residents and the Massachusetts Rivers Alliance on Sunday, April 24, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Samuel Fitch House.

E. Heidi Ricci from Mass Audubon and Julia Blatt of the Massachusetts Rivers Alliance will talk about local and statewide water policy issues.  Find out about the challenges of protecting our state’s rivers in an era of decreasing budgets for our state environmental protection agencies and threats of deregulation of pollution controls.  Hosted by Westford residents at the Samuel Fitch House, 91 Power Road.  Registration required at https://letstalkaboutwater.eventbrite.com

The Massachusetts Rivers Alliance is a statewide advocacy organization and network of river activists. Its mission is to protect and restore Massachusetts’ rivers and streams. Mass Rivers is the voice for rivers across the Commonwealth.

The LWV of Westford is letting its members know about this event based on our position on local land use and natural resources.
