Westford U10 Team 3 Defeats Lowell To Start The Season

Westford girls played a great game against Lowell with a 4-0 win to mark their first game of the season.  Marta Khusid scored the first goal with a great move in front of the net.  That goal was followed later by a second goal with a hard shot from Katie Krangle assisted by Marta Khusid.  Sarah Foley, Sophie Krauss and Audrey Smagula played strong defense while Olivia Dempster made a couple great saves towards the end of the first half to keep the score 2-0.  The second half started strong with many shots on net from Westford and lots of great saves from the Lowell goalie, with both Alexa Pantoja and Olivia Dempster scoring for Westford.  The mid-field was managed nicely by Westford middies Caroline Mallio, Ava Russo and Olivia Smith. Sophie Krauss performed great in goal for the second half, keeping the Lowell team from scoring.  Overall, a strong win and great start to the season for the Westford Girls U10 Team 3.
