LETTER: Cully Disputes Town Manager/BOS Rebuttal Regarding Community Preservation Accounting

The Town Manager says she turned over to the Affordable Housing Committee and Paul Cully a full accounting of the CPA funds dedicated for affordable housing.  The Chair of the Board of Selectmen says he is comfortable that this happened.  Mr. Cully says he never received any such accounting for those funds, and that town records show no meeting is which the Town Manager nor her factotum ever turned over that accounting to the Affordable Housing Committee or to Mr. Cully.  Neither has there been any email(s) offered to substantiate any such transfer of any accounting. So who can you believe?  Why would the Chair of the Affordable Housing Committee resign, citing the non-responsiveness of the Town Manager regarding an accounting of CPA funds?  Can either the Town Manager or the Chair of the Board of Selectmen produce the alleged accounting?  If so, why don’t they do that and put some truth to what has so far just been their words?  The truth lies elsewhere other than with the Chair’s comfort level or the Town Manager’s assertions.
