Good news for Westford parents of students in the Westford School system is the announcement of engineering camps at Roudenbush this summer.  Classes like these and similar classes that facilitate students learning basic engineering principles by participating in projects that demonstrate those principles have been missing from the Westford Academy curriculum for nearly a decade.  There must be many students in a 2000 student body who would find these classes interesting.  Based on the response to this program this summer, perhaps the Westford School Board will find the means to have opportunities such as these offered year-round, as part of the school experience available to Westford students.  Regardless, this is a positive step forward for education in Westford, and residents should be thankful for, and watchful of, the Empow Studios camps this summer.  Hopefully we all can learn something of value.
