Team Forever Young Seeks To Raise $100k For Suicide Prevention

A group of Westford residents will be taking to the streets of New York in June to help raise awareness and funds for suicide prevention.

Continuing work from the past seven years, Team Forever Young will participate in the “Out of the Darkness” walk, honoring Billy Duggan, Keith Crocker, Keith Lally, Gina Silva, Nick Hyder and thirty others lost to suicide.

Since they began, the organization has raised $209,162.35.

This year, Westford residents Nancy Cook, Tammy Fannon, Amanda Vollaro, Dawn Pioli, Debbie Hillman, Meghan Hoover, Craig Bennett, Claudette Hussey, Adrianne Lopez, Michelle Hyder-French, Kimberly Gladwin, Scott Hyder, Daniel Cronin, Kevin Cregg, Peggy Duffy, Jon Garland, William Luppold, Tammy Lally, Kara Sherman, Jen Snow, Cheryl Bean, Kayla Lally, Samantha Stopyra, Shawn Carroll, Jakki Browner, Dean Weeks are looking to raise a large portion of their $100,000 goal for this year through the two-day event in New York City on June 4 and 5.

In addition to that event, Team Forever Young will also be holding a “Cinco De Mayo” fundraising event at the Franco-American Club on May 7 from 6 p.m. to midnight.

Last year, the Cinco De Mayo event raised approximately $12,000. So far this year, the group has raised $30,583. All funds will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
