Recently, the Westford Scholarship and Grant Committee (SAG) selected Daniel J. Measer for its 2016 SAG Scholarship.
Measer was chosen by the committee in large part due to his volunteering efforts, which included work with the Farmers’ Market, Westford Youth Soccer, the Westford Recreation Department and building a bridge and boardwalk along Boutwell Swamp on the Tom Paul Trail.
At Westford Academy, Measer was a member of the National Honor Society and received several student athlete awards.
“Throughout all of Dan’s community activities, we saw Dan’s pride in Westford and a spirit of fellowship,” said Jonathan Myerov, chair of the Westford Scholarship and Grant Committee. “These values are what the SAG Scholarship truly represents.”
Measer plans to attend the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY this fall.
The scholarship, worth $2,500, comes from voluntary donations of Westford residents who have willingly checked the Scholarship Fund box on their local property tax forms.
