Started last year with contributions from four local churches,  SNAP Bonus Bucks at Westford Farmers Market is a program to help local residents choose healthier food options by making it easier to use Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits at the Westford Farmers Market.
snapThe First Parish Church United, the United Methodist Church of Westford, St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Parish, and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church each made substantial donations last year to  fund “matching” SNAP dollars. The net result of this generosity is that SNAP users were able to double their dollars at this local venue, providing a much stronger incentive to make better food choices there versus other grocery stores where there are too many low-nutrition alternatives.  If you would like to make an individual donation, send a check to SW, 5 Cummings Rd, Westford MA  01886  Please mark the check for SNAP in the memo line.  For for more information, visit   100% of your donation goes directly to SNAP users.
