 Education This Week – Community Solar
 RELAY POWER – If you’re interested in using solar power, but your roof orientation or location will not allow it, Relay Power offers a community solar program where you can obtain credit on your electric bill by using electricity produced by a local solar garden. Learn more about going solar and decreasing your carbon footprint at the WFM.

 This Week’s Non – Profits 

GIRL SCOUT TROOP 85009 – Girl Scout Troop 85009 of Westford is hosting a Food Pantry collection of non-perishables at the Westford Farmers Market on Opening Day, Tuesday, June 21 from 2:30-6:30 p.m. to support the needs of the Pantry and the families it services during the time of year when donations are slow. In addition, donations of fresh produce purchased from the Market that day will be accepted to help raise awareness of the efforts of the Westford Community Gardens to bring fresh food to all members of Their community. Please visit the WCG booth to learn more about the Gardens, and how you can support the ongoing needs of Their community by helping the Gardens this summer!

This Week’s Vendors

Carlson Orchards

Carlson Orchards was founded in 1936 by Walter and Eleanor Carlson. In the thirties and forties, they made their living from a diversified farm of chickens, cows, potatoes, and apples. In the late sixties, the farm specialized in fruits with apples being the main crop. The Carlsons are dedicated to growing the best tree fruits, blueberries, raspberries, and pumpkins as well as producing the best tasting apple cider available anywhere.

Farmer Dave’s

Hill Orchard is owned by the Westford Conservation Commission and managed by Farmer Dave of Dracut. The orchard produces syrup, honey, jam, and cider and grows flowers, pumpkins, apricots, plums, pears, 25 varieties of apples, raspberries, and blueberries on 20 acres of land.

Myco Terra Farm

Myco Terra Farm is new to the farmer’s market this year. The farm produces organic mushrooms, and offers a selection of shiitake, oyster, and mushroom croquettes. They will also be offering mushroom based skin care items, lotions, and soaps.

Flats Mentor Farm

The Flats Mentor Farm assists and supports small farmers of diverse ethnic backgrounds by providing them with access to land, farming infrastructure and marketing assistance needed to promote and sustain successful farming enterprises. Located in Lancaster, Massachusetts, Flats Mentor Farm will be providing Asian veggies such as bok choy, and other Asian grains.

Dragonfly Farms

Dragonfly Farms is a diverse vegetable farm located in Pepperell, Massachusetts. We grow vegetables, herbs, and cut flowers at Their farm at 40 Prescott St, as on nearby leased land.

Gaouette Farm

Gaouette Farm from North Andover, MA grows vegetables without chemical pesticides or fertilizers. Gaouette Farm will offer a CSA share for pick-up at the Westford Farmer’s Market each week.

Town Farm Gardens

Town Farm Gardens is a small, family owned and operated, organically grown farm located in beautiful Brookfield, Massachusetts. It has a commercial kitchen on the farm and make all of the natural pickles, salsa, hot sauce, jams, and relish on site. Their pickles, salsa and hot sauces have won several national and international awards.

Nissitissit Appiaries

Nissitissit Apiaries in Pepperell, MA owns 380 beehives that spread across acres of wildflowers, apple orchards, and berries. Nissitissit will be providing all-natural honeys to the farmer’s market.

Purple Carrot Bread

Purple Carrot Bread Company specializes in European style hearth breads and rustic pastries. Their breads are made with quality ingredients and no additives or preservatives.

Bagel Alley

Based in Nashua, NH, Bagel Alley brings a variety of fresh bagels each week to the Westford Farmers Market. Varieties include Plain, Sesame, Onion, Everything, Egg, Spinach and Herb, Health, Energy Bar, Blueberry, and more.

You Love Bakery

You Love Bakery has been passionately creating fresh and wholesome foods and desserts from scratch using the best ingredients nature has to offer. No preservatives are added to these delicious options. At the farmer’s market, they will be offering many Greek inspired foods, including chocolate walnut baklavas, savory pastries, and much more.

Valicenti Pasta Farm

Offering seasonal flavors of homemade ravioli, Valicenti Pasta Farm uses traditional methods of gardening to produce this specialty food. Located in Hollis, New Hampshire, Valicenti pasta grows all of their ingredients locally and organically to ensure the freshest and healthiest ingredients each season.

SA’s Homestyle

Sa’s Homestyle Sweet & Spicy Sauce enhances the taste of anything it’s put on. Ideal as a dipping sauce, marinate, BBQ, and secret cooking ingredient. It comes in 5 varieties: Mild, Hot, X-Hot, Mild & Hot w/ organic apple cider vinegar.

Samosa Man Exotic Foods

Samosa Man Exotic Foods is new to the farmers’ market this year. They specialize in handcrafted, Southeast Asian dishes and desserts, including dessert samosas.

Samira’s Homemade

Samira’s Homemade specializes in ‘ful medames’, the national dish of Egypt. These prepared Lebanese and Egyptian foods are healthy, delicious, and made from fresh ingredients with no added preservatives.

Kabob House

Kabob House offers freshly-cooked, flavorful tastes from around the world, prepared on-site – not common to everyday experiences. Kabob House is known for its Gyros, Kabob, Falafel, Samosa, Baklava and much more. Mohamed (M.G.) Ghobashi participates at festivals, farmers’ markets in Ashland, Tyngsboro, Worcester, Quincy, and Tilton. He has also participated for many years as a food vendor at the State Fairs in Nebraska and other larger festivals in Massachusetts and Iowa.

Calcutta Curry

Calcutta Curry is a local food producer specializing in home style Indian food. All Their food is produced in small batches and we stand behind the quality. We are partnering with local farms to source out products and give Their consumers the best of both worlds in terms of quality and convenience.

Hawaiian Shaved Ice

Hawaiian Shaved Ice offers authentic 8oz and 12oz sizes of Hawaiian shaved ice. They use all-natural syrups in a variety of flavors. They will also be selling popcorn at the farmers’ market this year.

Nu3Kidz

Nu3Kidz develops real healthy, nutritious, and delicious products for kids, that not only will be eaten with joy, but will also promote their overall well-being Nu3Kidz line of pancake mixes offers high quality, all organic, gourmet products. These pancakes are based on 100% Organic whole grains, Organic Vegetables and Organic Quinoa

Carolyn’s Farm Kitchen

Their all-natural farm goods truly represent the growing seasons in New England! They offer a creative line of signature products including sweet & savory jams & jellies,
toasted farmhouse granola, and seasonal baking mixes to pair with farm-fresh fruits for delicious, convenient bake shoppe treats at home. Their products are handmade in small
batches and use the finest quality ingredients sourced from local farms when possible.

Aaronap Cellars

Aaronap Cellars is a micro-winery located in Westford, MA. They make their own wine, buy their grapes locally, and focus on producing small volume, innovative, artisanal wines.

Muddy Water Coffee

Muddy Water Coffee Roasters is owned and operated by Tim Van Sipe. They offer high quality premium coffee to their customers, and use fair trade organic coffee beans
