Town officials are working with Contractors from Aqua Line Utility to re-open Groton Road (Route 40) by noontime on Saturday, August 13th, a day ahead of schedule. Paving operations are under way and are scheduled to be completed by the end of the day on Friday. Subcontractors will be on siteSaturday morning to install pavement markings, weather permitting. A final decision to open the road will be made once the pavement markings are installed and it is safe for commuters to travel over the new culvert.
