HOLIDAY HOURS: The Library will be closed on Monday, Dec. 26. We re-open on Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 10 a.m. Library will be closed on Monday, Jan. 2, 2017 and re-open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3.

 SUNDAY HOURS: Resume on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017 thru Sunday, April 30. On Sundays the library is open from 2 to 5 p.m.

 TumblePremium – an upgraded version of Tumblebooks – is now available for our Picture- Book- loving patrons via the Library’s website. TumblePremium has twice the content of TumbleBooks (animated, talking -Fiction, Non-Fiction and Language Learning – Picture Books) and offer two new exclusive categories: Math Stories and Graphic Novels. Additionally, patrons can choose Read Alongs (chapter books with sentence highlighting and narration but no animation); Videos (from National Geographic); eBooks; Puzzles and Games and more.

 New Year’s Concert with Rolie Polie Guacamole Band: Friday, Dec. 30 at 1:30 p.m.   Join this award-winning “kindie” band from Brooklyn, NY for a high energy, interactive show that’s a mix of funk, rock, and folk music mashed into high energy original tunes about natural living, eating healthy, and staying active! Really, bring your dancing shoes. Tickets ($2) for children and adults are available by phone or in person. This program is for all ages.

Story Time and Book Club Registration, Monday, Jan. 9 at 6:30 p.m. These popular programs fill up fast so register online for our small group story times and for all of our book clubs in the Story Hour room. Telephone registration will begin Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 10 a.m. (978-399-2302). Book clubs are for grades Kindergarten through grade 5 and meet once a month from 4 to 4:45 p.m. The Mini Masters Art Book Club is for children in grades three and up and meets one Wednesday afternoon a month from 4 to 4:45 p.m. The Evening Adult/Child book clubs meet one evening a month: Four Eyes for children in grades three and four meet one Tuesday evening a month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Book Buzz for children in grades five and six meet one Thursday a month 7 to 8 p.m. Questions about Registering?  Knitting Group: Monday, Jan. 9 AND Monday, Jan. 23 at 3 p.m. As requested our informal knitting group now meets the second AND the fourth Monday of every month from 3 to 5 p.m. This is a drop-in program that is open to all ages. Bring your latest knitting project and share advice and socialize with other knitters! If you have any questions, please call Kristina Leedberg at 978-399-2309.

Link to Literacy NEEDS TUTORS!!! Start your new year with volunteerism! Consider becoming part of the Link to Literacy (non-profit, volunteer-run) organization. Link to Literacy is devoted to enabling adults who have joined us from other cultures to read, write, and speak American English more effectively. Training and materials are provided to tutors. Tutors work with their students at the Library. To pick up a tutor or student application, or for more information, stop by or contact the Information Services department at 978-399-2304.
