I am voting for Tom Spuhler for Planning Board and I am urging you to vote for him, as well. He has extensive service to the town of Westford which includes his involvement in writing the Commercial industrial bylaw in 2005.

He served on the 2006 Master Plan as well as the 2009 comprehensive master plan committee

His involvement with Westford Community Access TV began when he started volunteering and videotaping all of the Planning Board Meetings in 2001 and continued taping until the end of 2005.  He was among those responsible for the contributions which added to the creation of the government channel for WestfordCAT. The taping of the Planning Board helped to catapult the taping of other town committee meetings and Town Meeting.  These actions are why we now have all meetings on cable access and on the Westford CAT website.

Tom Spuhler has a balanced approach to the needs of a developing community, preserving its character, and he understands the impact development has on it.

He appreciates how multi-family housing and mixed use development will benefit Westford over time.

He knows the ins and outs of town planning from his experience with issues over the last 20 years.

He emphasizes open and transparent communications of community development and is aware of attempts to urbanize our community.

Tom Spuhler is concerned with new developments, their effect on traffic congestion and other impacts on the community. He wants to see the achievement and maintenance of 10 percent of housing stock for the state requirement as affordable housing is produced in the future. Tom is a proponent of suitable multiple family housing and appropriate affordable housing developments.

Please join me in voting for Tom Spuhler on May 2. — Bob Krankewicz, Boston Road
