State Rep. James Arciero recently welcomed three students to the State House as part of Westford Academy’s annual Job Shadow day.
A job shadow is a structured career exploration activity where a student follows an employee at their workplace to learn more about a particular occupation or industry. The purpose of job shadowing is to help students explore a range of career options.
As part of their day with Arciero, the students join the legislator in attending a public hearing on legislation before a committee and learn about the legislative process and constituent services.
In addition, the students met Speaker of the House Robert DeLeo in the House Chamber.
