The 42nd annual Strawberries ‘N Arts Festival takes place at the Westford Common on Main Street, Saturday, June 17 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Admission is free and everyone in Westford and beyond is welcome to join in the festivities.
Activities include shopping for arts and crafts from more than 90 artisans, listening to music by several local musicians or relaxing on the green while choosing from a variety of lunch options including hamburgers, hot dogs and pulled pork sandwiches.
The highlight of the day for many is the fresh strawberry shortcake with line up for the treats to begin just before 12:30 p.m. More than 350 quarts of fresh strawberries, more than 32 sheets of shortcake and lots of real whipped cream are combined to create over 1,000 servings of the dessert.
Items for sale include handcrafted woodwork, a variety of handmade jewelry, wrought iron, hand-painted glassware, and framed photographs and portraits. There will be crafts and entertainment for children, and continuous performances by several local musicians. Free parking is available at First Parish Church United, the J.V. Fletcher Library, the Roudenbush Community Center and the Abbot School.
This annual event is sponsored by the First Parish Church United of Westford. FPCU supports a variety of local and international charity organizations through its outreach programs. For more information, please visit TheStrawberryFestival.org. or 978 692 8350.
