Police are searching for the owner of a pick up truck that made contact with a pedestrian on Aug. 22 at 10 p.m.
The accident took place on Dunstable Road.
Here’s what the Westford Police Department posted on Facebook earlier this week:
“…a truck traveling south on Dunstable Road struck two females who were walking along the roadways edge. The truck slowed down after impact and then sped off in the direction of Groton Road. The truck is described as white or light colored with orange running or oscillating lights on the roof.
It is possible the truck had a loud exhaust and a body lift kit. Based on evidence recovered at the scene it is believed that the truck is a Ford F250 or F350 Super Duty, unknown year. Video surveillance in the area shows what appears to be a large truck consistent with this description heading south on Dunstable Road. Anyone who may have knowledge of a truck fitting this description is asked to contact the Westford Police at 978-692-2161 or via the Tip Line at 978-399-2072.“
Today, the police department added the following post:
“After comparing evidence recovered at the scene it’s believed the truck in question would be similar in appearance to the one pictured here. This particular truck is a 2008-2010 Ford F250. It is not implied that the truck in question is within those years but rather it should look similar to it in body style and mirror size.”
