The Roudenbush Community Center is offering an Animal Drawing Workshop for students in grades four to eight. Â The class takes place on Thursday, Aug. 3 and Friday, Aug. 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This is just one of several offerings for students this month as the summer winds down. Find details at Roudenbush.org.
Using pencil, charcoal and crayons, students will learn to sketch and shade a variety of animal types, said organizers. They will study line contouring, blending, and cross hatching techniques working from photos and demonstrations. The class is designed to build confidence in basic drawing skill.
The $10 materials fee is paid to the instructor.
The workshop costs $87 for members of the community center and $90 for non members.
