Runners and sponsors are needed for the Friends of Nashoba’s 6th Annual Haunted 5K Road Race on Saturday, Oct. 21.

The event benefits the students of Nashoba Valley Technical High School. It is a family-friendly race, and everyone is welcome to walk, jog or run, with or without a costume. There will be a free fun run for kids before the 5K, which starts at 9:30 a.m.

This is an officially timed race. Prizes will be awarded in each category to both men and women, including one for best costume. The registration fee is $10 for students 18 and under, $25 for adults 19-59, and $15 for those 60 and older. Those who register by Oct. 14 receive a free T-shirt.  Walk-in registration begins at 8 a.m., on race day.

Businesses that would like to sponsor the event can make a tax-deductible donation. There are four levels of sponsorship, and we’ve also added a “Corporate Challenge” to allow corporate teams the opportunity to show their colors and build company pride. As always, donations for runner gift bags are always appreciated and a great way to get your company’s name into the community.

For sponsorship application and runner registration, visit www.nashobatech.net, go to “Upcoming Events,” and click on “Haunted 5K” icon.
