A 50-year-old North Billerica woman was killed in a one-car collision, Oct. 5, on Route 495 just north of exit 32 in Westford.
According to state Trooper Christopher Pierce, Lynne Tierney apparently lost control of her 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer just before 6 p.m. and careened into the median from the left lane, rolling her vehicle.
She was pronounced dead at the crash scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. State police were assisted on the scene by Westford Police, Firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians. The state medical examiner’s office and the state Department of Transportation also assisted.
