The seventh annual Jim Arciero Sun Santa/Toys for Tots Fundraiser raised funds and collected toys for families in need this holiday season. WestfordCAT spoke with Arciero and his behind-the-scenes workers who spread the word, compile gift baskets and arrange a silent auction. Their efforts brought in at least $22,000 this year, according to Arciero. He estimates the mountain of donated toys to be valued at $30,000. The money goes to the Lowell Sun Santa to be distributed to local families to be used for holiday gifts and meals. The toys are sent to the Toys for Tots program of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.
