Adam Gagne, Westford Academy director of athletics, released the following statement on Jan. 23:

“Westford Academy along with the support of the town manager’s office, Westford Recreation, Friends of Westford Community Rowing and several community members have been working towards finalizing all necessary details to implement the crew/rowing program for our spring 2018 season at Westford Academy. We are currently in the hiring process for spring coaches and will have a parent/student informational meeting planned for Feb. 8, 6:30 p.m. at the high school.

We appreciate all the help and support that we have received and look forward to starting the spring crew season as of 3/19/2018. AG”
