Westford Academy Principal James P. Antonelli released the following information on Feb. 2:

“Westford Academy earned accreditation status by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) in October 2009. We are now preparing to go through this process using the new 2020 NEASC Standards. A Steering Committee and Self-Reflection Committee will oversee the accreditation process, which is much less prescribed with the new standards.

Part of the process is to gather information from all stakeholders in the school community including parents, students and the faculty. Below I am including a link to a survey in which NEASC requires that 25 percent of parents complete. My hope is that a majority of you will take the time to provide your feedback to us so that we may include the results within our self-reflection report.”

Antonelli then provided notes from the NEASC:

“• This is a pilot survey and there are some errors (repeated questions, for example). NEASC apologizes for the error and they are working to fix the problem

• NEASC recommends when you take the survey having your son/daughter by you; it may help you to talk about some of the questions before responding

• Once you start the survey it needs to be completed, you cannot save and go back later

Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete this survey. The W.A. Faculty will complete the survey on Monday and our students will take the survey before the February vacation.”
