Conservation/Resource Planner Carol Gumbert reports that she’s issued a request for proposals for the management of Hill Orchard, at the intersection of Hunt and Chamberlain Roads.

The notice reads:

“Westford’s Conservation Commission is seeking proposals for the management of agricultural resources at Hill Orchard, 20-acre fruit farm located at 4 Hunt Road, Westford MA 01886. Deadline for submissions is 11 a.m., March 9, 2018 to Conservation Commission, 55 Main Street, Westford, MA 01886. RFP documents may be obtained at the Conservation Commission Office, 55 Main Street, Westford, MA 01886 or by registering online: westfordma.gov/procurement.”

The property was under the management of David Dumaresq of Brox Farm in Dracut from 2014-17. Dumaresq has stated that he will submit a proposal to continue farming the property.
