The Westford Kiwanis members recently announced a special Apple Blossom Ball to commemorate the organization’s 50th Apple Blossom Festival. The Westford Academy Dance Band will perform on Friday evening, May 11. This band has 33 members and is under the direction of George Arsenault.
The Westford Academy Dance band specializes in swing. Latin, and popular dance tunes. In past years this band has played at the Westford F.A.M.E. [Foundation for the Advancement of Music Education] fundraiser and at the Endicott College music festival. Featured vocalists will include Westford Academy Junior Eunice Pak, Westford Academy Sophomore Colin Pickersgill. Superintendent of Westford Schools Bill Olsen and Westford Academy Principal Jim Antonelli will address the audience.
The Apple Blossom Ball will take place on Friday, May 11, in the Abbot School Gym. Donations are $5 at the door. All proceeds will benefit Westford Academy Music Programs. Semi-formal attire is suggested but not required. Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome to attend whether you just want to sit and enjoy the music or dance the night away!
