Construction of the intersection at Oak Hill and Groton Roads is about to begin.

The improvements include a traffic signal, sidewalks, crosswalks, bike lanes and upgrades to the drainage system.

Plans are available online for download or viewing at:
westfordma.gov/engineering.

Commuters and businesses should expect delays and occasional detours during the estimated seven months of construction.

Route 40 (Groton Road) is also scheduled to be closed to
through traffic for a five-day period later this summer so that the existing Gilson Brook culvert can be replaced near the Ace Hardware plaza.

The road closure will begin on a Friday night and reopen as soon as the culvert replacement is complete. Additional information about the closure and detours will be made available on the town’s electronic notification
system.

westfordma.gov/subscriber. Select “Road Construction” under the Alert Center, and “Latest Construction News” under the News Flash section.
