A senior at Nashoba Valley Technical High School is hosting a Walk for Wags 1-mile walk on Saturday, May 19, starting at 12:30 p.m., at the school, 100 Littleton Road (Route 110), Westford.

The walk will benefit Cultivate Care Farm and Sanctuary in Bolton.

The idea for the Walk for Wags came from Kelley Willets of Ayer, a senior in Nashoba Tech’s Veterinary Assisting program. Willets is one of five seniors who belong to the first-ever graduating class from the Veterinary Assisting program.

Students in the Veterinary Assisting program go to Cultivate Care Farm and Sanctuary regularly to receive hands-on training. Proceeds from the walk will go toward the ongoing care and medical needs of the animals at the farm.

Dogs are welcome to walk on leashes; they must be up to date on all vaccines.

The registration fee for the walk is $10 by Friday, May 5, and $15 on the day of the walk. Make checks payable to Cultivate Care Farm. For more information about the farm, visit www.cultivatecounselingcenter.com.
