LETTER TO THE EDITOR: It’s Clean Up Time in Westford

Subscribe to our free, daily publication for all your Westford news.

The Roudenbush  Community Center is having a litter cleanup on Saturday, May 5, to get rid of the 24,232 beer cans, plastic bottles, old yard sale signs and pieces of paper along Westford’s roadsides.

As it turns out, there are 24,232 people living in Westford, so if we each pick up even a little bit of litter, the town will look so much better.

Please make half an hour for your family to help.

You can take your bag(s) of litter to the dumpster that will be at Roudenbush at Frost, 73 Main St. Or you can put out the bag(s) of litter that you collect with your household trash on your trash day next week.

Too busy on May 5? Then get your family out picking up roadside trash the next day. Or the next day. Or the next.

The weekend of May 12 is the 50th annual Kiwanis Apple Blossom Parade. Let’s have Westford litter-free by the time the parade steps off at 10 a.m. that Saturday morning. –Ellen Harde, Westford
