Resident Installed as President of General Federation of Women’s Clubs

State Rep. Jim Arciero recently attended the installation ceremony of Lynne M. Stadler of Westford who was named president of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Massachusetts at a ceremony held at the Westford Regency.

The General Federation of Women’s Clubs is an organization devoted to serving their communities by promoting the arts, advancing education, promoting healthy lifestyles, encouraging civic involvement and working toward world peace and understanding. The organization has more than 80,000 members nationally.

Stadler was officially installed by the international president of the GFWC, Sheila Shea. Stadler will serve a two year term as Massachusetts GFWC president. The theme of the ceremony was “Stronger Together.”

As president, Stadler’s project will be to have women’s clubs support “More Than Words,” a social enterprise focused on teaching foster home youth important business skills and helping them to find employment.

Arciero expressed hope for Stadler’s success during her term as president. He presented her with a Resolution from the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
