State Rep. James Arciero recently participated in the “Don’t Fry Day” program at the Stony Brook School in Westford.

This annual event, sponsored by the Children’s Melanoma Prevention Foundation, is held to make students aware of the dangers of skin cancer and to promote prevention efforts.

Under the leadership of Maura Flynn, an advocacy coordinator with the foundation, Nicole Smith, a Stony Brook Library Media Specialist, and Stony Brook Health Teacher Lisa Downey, this program educates students on sun exposure using various media and equipment sources.
