Men and Women’s Breakfast: Meet the Author Bill Cummings will present his recent new memoir, “Starting Small and Making It Big: An Entrepreneur’s Journey to Billion-Dollar Philanthropist.” This event will be held at First Parish Church United on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 8:30 a.m. The breakfast will be catered, and Cameron participants will be given a complimentary book thanks to the Westford Community Fund, a component of the Greater Lowell Community Foundation and the Cummings Foundation. A van shuttle from the Cameron will be provided for those who park at the center. The shuttle will start at 7 a.m. A fee of $5 will be charged for the breakfast.

Protecting Your Home
Tuesday, Oct. 23, 6 p.m.
Attorneys from Madge & Johnson, PC will explain the ways to protect a home and important steps to take. Registration: 978-692-5523.

Cameron participation in the Westford Family FunFest Fall/Halloween Festival Friday, Oct. 12 – 31. The Festival will be held at the Westford Regency in their Atrium and Lobby. Special price for Westford’s Spooktacular Seniors, 978-399-2330. Only 12 Seats. FREE Opening Reception, Friday. Oct. 12 from 6 – 8 p.m. in the Regency Atrium.

Medicare Open Enrollment Program
Thursday Nov. 8, 5:30 PM
An Open Enrollment presentation will be offered by a certified SHINE (serving the health insurance needs of everyone) counselor. Open Enrollment is from Oct. 15 to Dec. 7.

Bingo
With the support of the Council on Aging Board BINGO is open to anyone age 18 and over, Mondays at 1 p.m. and Thursdays at 7 p.m. Transportation is available for Westford residents, if they call 978-399-2322.

Appliances and More Sale
Oct. 1-5, Daily: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Tuesday/Thursday, open until 8 p.m.
The Friends have assembled a great selection of things for the home – small appliances, kitchen gadgets, cookware, lamps, household linens and more.

Monet Art Workshop
Oct. 2 and 4, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Residents can join art instructor Priti for a two-part workshop and learn to paint like the famous Monet. She will teach technique and tips. The two-night workshop is $18. Registration: 978-692-5523.
Community Teamwork Series
Residents are invited to learn about Community Teamwork (also referred to as CTI), a non-profit community action agency which provides a wide range of programs, social services and advocacy to assist low income residents of Westford and surrounding towns. Representatives of their Resource Center, financial literacy and housing programs will be at the Cameron Senior Center to meet with interested residents monthly on the following dates: Wednesday Oct. 17 5:30-7:30 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 2, a.m.

Holiday Baskets
The Cameron Senior Center will be partnering with St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Catherine of Alexandria Church and the Westford Food Pantry for the Westford Holiday Basket Program. This program serves Westford families and individuals who would like to cook a Thanksgiving or Christmas meal, and are facing a financial hardship. Those interested in donating to the program, can contact Katie Russell at 978-399-2330. Those in need of food assistance for a Thanksgiving or Christmas meal, can call Alison Christopher, LICSW, at 978-399-2325 to request a simple application. The deadline for applications to be submitted is Oct. 19 for both holidays.
