The Veterinary Assisting program at Nashoba valley Technical High School is hosting “DOGtoberfest” on Saturday, Oct. 27, from noon to 3 p.m.

Activities include a pet parade and masquerade, with awards for best costume, best costume pair and best trick for a treat. Kids can bring in their favorite stuffed animal for a checkup at a teddy-bear clinic. There will be food, a bake sale, face-painting, raffles, a “pawdicure” booth and a special appearance by the Headless Horseman.

The event benefits the Veterinary Assisting program, which partners with Angell Memorial Medical Center at the Angell at Nashoba Clinic. For more information, email khawkins@nashobatech.net.
