EDITOR’S NOTE: The following was posted Oct. 9 on Facebook by Superintendent Everett V. Olsen:

Today there was a significant and very unusual buildup of moisture on the stairways and second floor hallway at the Abbot School. We are not sure what has created this unusual situation but we will be consulting with experts first thing in the morning. As a result of this safety issue there will be NO SCHOOL FOR ABBOT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS, tomorrow, October 10. All other students in the school system will have a normal day of school. I thank you for your patience and understanding!
