The Nashoba Valley Technical High School was briefly locked down this morning while Chelmsford Police searched for a 24-year-old Chelmsford man accused of creating a disturbance at the Chelmsford Commons mobile home park on Route 110. The man fled the scene.

Police, earlier today, believed he was carrying a firearm, according to a press release, so under an abundance of caution, the school was locked down. Nashoba Tech is located on Route 110, 1.6 miles from the mobile home park.

The man is also wanted on an unrelated warrant out of Lowell District Court stemming from motor vehicle related charges.

Later, police determined the firearm might instead be a BB gun. They are continuing their search. Police do not believe the public is in any danger, according to the press release.
