MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: Church Service for Deceased Veterans, May 25; Bandstand Observance, May 26

Westford residents will observe Memorial Day on Saturday, May 25 at 4 p.m. with a service for deceased veterans at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church. The observance continues on Sunday, May 26 with village parades in Forge, Graniteville and Nabnasset. The parade starts at 12 p.m. in the town center ending at the Common where speakers will pay tribute to all veterans.

US Flags were placed in the cemeteries on Saturday, May 11 by veterans and community volunteers.

Saturday, May 25, 4 p.m.
St. Catherine’s Memorial Day Service, 107 North Main St.

Memorial Day, Sunday, May 26

In the villages:

    • 9 a.m. – Parade from Cameron Senior Center to Freedom Park
    • 9:15 a.m. – Parade from Freedom Park to the Forge Village War Memorials (West Prescott Street monument;
    • 9:45 a.m. – North Main Street), parade from American Legion Post 159.
      Nabnassett Lake – (Byrne Ave. Dam) Oak Hill Road/Jo-Jo Lane. Parade starts 10:45 a.m.

In the center

10:45 a.m. – Honor Roll reading at the Bandstand on the Common:
The Westford Center parade starts at the Roudenbush at Noon and stops at each war memorial to honor those who served.

Memorial Day Service – Approximately 12:20 p.m. at the bandstand.
