UPDATE- The date of the ongoing dangerous dog hearing referenced in the story was changed to Wednesday, May 8 at 8 a.m. at the Fletcher fire station on Boston Road. The dogs’ owner, Haley Gallagher, did not honor the agreement she made with the Board of Selectmen by turning over the dogs to Westford Animal Control officers by  11 a.m. on May 3. Town Manager Jodi Ross said it’s not known where the dogs are.


The Board of Selectmen holds a dangerous dog hearing to determine the fate of two dogs accused of killing a toy poodle; Westford’s Community Garden opens for the season; a landscape architect presents plans to the Parks and Recreation Commission for Forge Pond Beach rehabilitation; and the May 5 Annual Westford  Road Race raises money for the Westford Charitable Foundation.
