The Ride for Liv/Run for Liv drew almost 350 athletes and their families to the 4-H Fairgrounds on July 14.

Runners and bicyclists paced themselves on the back roads of Westford and abutting towns.

The gathering is meant to raise awareness of domestic violence. It honors the memory of 17-year-old Olivia Marchand who died in 2010 of a horrific act of domestic violence.

Her mother, Jody Marchand, was critically wounded in the same attack but survived and founded the Live for Liv Foundation.
