Marked by a celebration on Sept. 26th, phase one of the Roudenbush Community Center playground project is finished. The play area was funded by a $100,000 grant from the Cummings Foundation in  2016 and a $15,000 anonymous donation that kicked off a matching campaign. Another $100,000 for the playground has been earmarked by state Representative Jim Arciero.

The money will back upgrades of the three playgrounds — the William E. Frost School at 75 Main Street, the Roudenbush Community Center at 65 Main Street, and the Roudenbush Children’s Center at Nabnasset at 170 Lowell Road.
