Holiday Hours:  On Wednesday, Nov. 27, Thanksgiving Eve, the Library will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; we will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and on Friday, Nov. 29. The Library will re-open on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 10 a.m.

Monday Mystery Book Club: Monday, Nov. 25 at 10:30 a.m. It meets on the fourth Monday morning of the month at 10:30 a.m. in the Mary Atwood Room. The November selection is A Fatal Grace by Louise Penny. Copies of the current selection are available for check-out at the Main Desk. New members always welcome. FREE! Make & Take Mondays: Nov. 25 at 3:30 p.m. Imagine, create, and participate. Each Monday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Teens and Tweens can participate in a variety of hands-on activities that include making fun, seasonal crafts and exploring STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) activities. This is a FREE drop – in event for Teens and Tweens in Grades 5 to 12. Registration is NOT required.

J.V. Fletcher Adult Nonfiction Book Club: Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. Is truth stranger than fiction? Is it more entertaining? Find out in the Adult Nonfiction Book Club. The group meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Mary Atwood Room. Our Dec. 3 book discussion will be A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway. Copies are available at the Main Desk. No registration is required. This meeting is also the title-picking party. Readers can check out our Reading List.

 Cookbook Club: Thursday, Dec. 5 (note date change!) at 7 p.m. The Cookbook Club explores cookbooks and samples new recipes. The group meets on the third Thursday of the month. Please note that it is meeting earlier in December to accommodate the busy holiday season. The December pick is “Everyday Dorie: The Way I Cook,” by Dorie Greenspan. Copies are available for check out at the Main Desk. December is also the title-picking party, No registration is required. Patrons are encouraged to check out our Reading List.

 TWEEN OZOBOTS CLUB: Friday, Dec. 6 at 3:30 p.m.

Students can learn to code and explore with Ozobots: teeny tiny robots with BIG possibilities. Monthly Fridays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Grades 5-8. Register here for this free program.

Lego® Club: Saturday, Dec. 7 from 2 to 3 p.m.   All creations will be displayed in the library until the next time the group meets. Free drop-in for ages 5 and up with parent or caregiver.

J.V. Fletcher Adult Book Club: Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m. The group will discuss The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton. Copies of the current reading selection are available for check-out at the Main Desk. December is also the title-picking party. New members are always welcome. No registration is required. Victorian Christmas Traditions with Anne Barrett: Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. “Victoria Yule,” as portrayed by Anne Barrett, welcomes patrons into her parlor and shares her plans for the 1895 Christmas season. Readers will learn the history of many Christmas traditions, passed down from “Grandmama and Grandpapa.” She’ll read Dickens, display toys and handmade gifts that her family will be exchanging around the Christmas tree, and in her clear soprano, sing songs of the season. Travel back in time to Christmas 1895 with this engaging performance. FREE! Patrons can register here or call 978-399-2304.
