Twelve-year-old Jewels is a friendly, laid back, Labrador retriever who has been at the Lowell Humane Society since December.
“Jewels is a very sweet girl,” said the shelter’s Volunteer Coordinator, Marie Baillargeon. “She would do well in a home with older kids, and would probably do well with other animals in the home, as well. She’s pretty friendly with other dogs and she also has lived with a cat in the past.”
Jewels is considered “relaxed” by shelter staff and because of it, has gone on many excursions and is considered to be a great companion.
“Jewels is such a sweetheart that she has actually been participating in what we call our Canine Adventure series which is when we have a very, very ‘bomb proof’ dog,” said Baillargeon. “They’ll go out with members of the public on little adventures. Jewels so far has gone to The Barkery, she’s gone to a coffee shop, she’s gone on quite a few hikes.”
Jewels is available now for adoption at the lowellhumanesociety.org .
