Parents and students sent a love song to Superintendent Bill Olsen this week after learning he had been ill and was now on the mend.
The video recording assured Olsen he is loved and considered by everyone to be a friend.
It was parent Jannelle Cioffi and recent Westford Academy graduate Ariella Fleischer who dreamed up the project
“There were many more people that wanted to participate,” Cioffi stated, “but given the virus and guidelines for social distancing we had to go with those that responded first.”
Olsen has been the town’s superintendent for 14 years. He arrived in Westford in 1986 as the School Department’s finance director. In 2002 he became assistant superintendent of finance and administration.
